Job description

Key Responsibilities

We're looking for a skilled Senior Network Technician to join our team, supporting the safety and integrity of our critical infrastructure. In this hands-on role, you'll manage risk assessments, oversee access and permits, and ensure all works are delivered to high technical and safety standards.

You'll be responsible for reviewing RAMS, coordinating contractor activity on-site, managing project work such as RTU replacements, and ensuring all system alarms are addressed before leaving site. Communication with internal teams and third-party providers is key, along with maintaining accurate documentation and providing regular progress updates.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need the following:

  • Proven experience in electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms with centrally managed control system.
  • A solid understanding of HSE regulations, permit-to-work systems, and risk management processes.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, liaise with stakeholders, and manage mission-critical projects.
  • A good understanding of and experience working with Network, Routers, switches and servers.
  • Good knowledge of communication technologies, Telemetry and 4G.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and regulations.

It would also be beneficial for you to hold:

  • City & Guilds 236 (Pt 1 & 2).
  • SCO 1, 2 & 5.
  • EUSR Gas Safety Passport.
  • Familiarity with Gallagher control systems, RTUs, and ITIL frameworks is an advantage.
  • Electrical Certification to level 3.
