Job Description:

There is significant opportunity in IT Defence, and this large site has a new position for a Network Solution Architect.

As the solution owner for the full lifecycle of solutions from feasibility to delivery, you will ensure continuity from an architectural and design perspective. You will build and implement end-to-end solutions and technical designs on this high-profile account.

This role requires eligibility for DV Clearance.

Hybrid work model: 1 to 2 days on-site per week in Salisbury or Portsmouth.

What you'll be doing:

• Create and implement end-to-end solutions and technical designs.
• Provide mentorship on solutions and technical SME topics.
• Serve as a point of contact for design-related issues within projects.
• Align standards, frameworks, and security with business and technology strategies.
• Identify, communicate, and address Information Assurance risks.
• Design security architecture elements to mitigate risks in collaboration with Solution Leads.
• Create solutions balancing business needs with information and cyber security requirements.
• Identify security design gaps and recommend improvements.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience with core Cisco Networking technologies (switching, routing, firewall, wireless, etc.).
• Knowledge of network orchestration and automation.
• Understanding of vendor-independent network concepts and related technologies (DHCP, DNS, etc.).
• Experience leading projects and presenting designs to high standards.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Group Policy.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with project management and architecture frameworks (Prince2, TOGAF).
• Cisco Unified Communications and Asterisk PABX knowledge.
• Understanding of SEIM and network security technologies.
• Knowledge of Endpoint Management.
• Experience with public cloud services (M365, AWS, Azure, Google).
