The Role:

As Senior Network SecurityEngineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of security solutions within clients. This will involve working extensively with our clients, project management and pre-sales teams to take the agreed design and make it a reality. The role offers a diverse experience and requires absolute delivery working under various conditions, often unsupervised on site with the client.

Working as part of a virtual project team the project engineer would be responsible for the delivery and technical assurance of the entire implementation life cycle to deliver the agreed solution seamlessly. This may include design, physical installation, configuration, commissioning testing, sign off and final handover both with the client and internally.

Essential:

• A proactive, self-sufficient professional with a strong commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt within a rapidly evolving security landscape.

• Demonstrable experience designing and deploying enterprise security solutions using Cisco and/or Palo Alto technologies.

• Strong technical capability operating at an equivalent level to CCNP/PCNSE proficiency (formal certification not mandatory).

• Extensive hands‑on experience deploying and supporting:

  • Cisco ASA and/or Firepower (FTD) platforms

  • Palo Alto Next‑Generation Firewalls

  • Associated management platforms including Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager

• Solid technical knowledge and practical deployment experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

• Solid experience implementing and supporting SASE/SSE solutions, such as:

  • Palo Alto Prisma Access

  • Cisco Umbrella / Secure Access

• Deep understanding of:

  • Security policy architecture and optimisation

  • NAT configuration

  • VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)

  • Network segmentation and zero‑trust principles

• Proven ability to design and implement best‑practice security controls to maintain and enhance organisational security posture.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
