Cloud Imperium is seeking a Senior Network Programmer for our Wilmslow Studio to work on our MMO PC space combat sim, Star Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our core network library
• Research and implement new networking technologies and tools
• Analyze, refactor, and improve existing network codebase
• Collaborate with other programmers to implement networked game features
• Debug and resolve network-related issues
• Proactively identify and address networking problems
• Integrate client and server with backend services
• Mentor junior team members

Qualifications

• Strong C++ skills and experience with multi-threaded programming
• Excellent debugging skills for complex issues
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Innovative mindset with the ability to plan and deliver features
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with TCP and UDP network programming
