Senior Network Engineer – Bristol – £60,000 - £70,000 DOE – Hybrid
Location: Bristol, UK (hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the network runs efficiently day-to-day, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
- Tackling complex challenges, identifying root causes, and implementing improvements.
- Supporting the evolution of monitoring systems and automation approaches.
- Influencing roadmap decisions and contributing to future upgrades.
- Acting as a trusted point of escalation for incidents.
- Mentoring and supporting other engineers, sharing best practice.
Requirements
- Strong background in network engineering within a service provider, data centre, or similar environment.
- Solid understanding of modern network infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with routing and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and automation concepts.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Leadership or mentorship qualities.
- Industry certifications are a bonus, but not essential.
