Join a leading Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper & Palo Alto Networks partner based in Lancaster. Our client specializes in providing top-notch network solutions to the public sector, including Councils, NHS Trusts, and Bluelight Services. With a strong commitment to staff development, they offer opportunities to gain certifications up to CCIE level, fully funded by the company.

We are seeking a personable and customer-focused Senior Network Engineer who excels in relationship building and is skilled in BGP, Layer 3 protocols, and next-gen firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco). You will be part of a team, working 80% on projects and 20% on support, including a 1-week on-call escalation rotation every 7 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions, focusing on Layer 3 and BGP.
• Work with next-generation firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco).
• Engage with customers, building strong, long-lasting relationships.
• Provide escalation support on a 1-week in 7 rota and occasional out-of-hours support (1 week in 12, compensated at £250 per week).
• Lead on projects, contributing to the delivery of robust network solutions.
• Work with wireless networks, enhancing the company’s capabilities in this area.

Technical Stack:

• Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba networking solutions.
• Fortinet security appliances.
• Core networking with a focus on Layer 3 and BGP.

Skills & Experience:

• CCNP or JNCIP certification (preferred, not essential).
• Strong background in core networking and next-gen firewall technology.
• Excellent customer-facing skills, with a passion for building relationships.
• Must be NPPV3 Security Clearable.

Salary & Benefits:

• £48,000-£65,000 per annum
