Team Introduction:

The IT Infra Global Network Engineering team is responsible for the architecture, design, vendor selection, implementation, and operation of the global enterprise network solution. This includes enterprise-wide design standards, global backbone, co-location facilities, internet peering, regional branch office WAN services, and other subsidiaries. The Network Engineer will establish design solutions, standards, documentation, and tools to improve the network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, high-quality user service. The role aims to enhance infrastructure reliability, quality, and user experience across various platforms and customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop standards-based network designs for the company's infrastructure.
  2. Deliver comprehensive design documentation addressing disaster recovery, testing, and compliance.
  3. Design and deploy controller-based WLAN architectures and cloud-based WiFi solutions, including planning and user experience monitoring.
  4. Manage network security, authentication, and identity solutions, with a preference for experience with Cisco ISE.
  5. Evaluate new products and technologies to improve service and reduce costs, providing detailed implementation recommendations.
  6. Embed security into all aspects of network and voice infrastructure.
  7. Support complex outages as Tier 3 escalation point.
  8. Participate in on-call rotation and vendor management, maintaining relationships and influencing product roadmaps.
  9. Produce detailed documentation throughout project lifecycles.
  10. Drive automation using scripting tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  11. Mentor team members and contractors, fostering growth.
  12. Develop capacity planning models and oversee upgrade planning and negotiations.
  13. Work effectively in a global, remote team environment.
  14. Manage project expectations and assist in team member recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in networking, including design, standards, and documentation.
  • Deep understanding of WAN, BGP, QoS, IPv4/IPv6, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, wireless, and L2 switching.
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Velocloud SDWAN.
  • Design and deployment experience with Cisco routing and switching, plus wireless solutions.
  • On-call availability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, PCSNE.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Proxy, multi-cloud routing, DDoS mitigation, WiFi survey tools, and various firewall solutions.
