Job summary

Visa is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join Infrastructure Reliability Engineering - Network Services. The role focuses on supporting, managing, and improving Visa's global network and cloud infrastructure, aligned with ITIL processes.

The engineer will operate in a 24x7 environment, collaborating with network engineering and tools teams to maintain a highly available global backbone, datacenter, and cloud networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is required; post graduate degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in network support/administration.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• Experience with network analysis tools (Wireshark or similar).
• Experience with security, WAN/LAN technologies, DNS tools (Neustar, Terraform).
• Familiarity with F5 LTM/GTM, Cisco/Nexus, Arista, Cisco/Juniper routers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd level network problems and coordinate with 1st level teams.
• Respond to and resolve IP network issues within SLAs.
• Deploy client solutions and network design implementations.
• Document runbooks and support change, incident, and problem management processes.
• Participate in automation efforts using Python.
• Provide cloud network operational support.
• Weekend and public holiday shift coverage as required.
