Job summary

Searchability® in Basildon, Essex is seeking a senior Network Engineer for a hands-on role across customer projects and internal ISP/datacentre environments. You'll own network installations and migrations from design through delivery, working within a growing MSP environment.

The role covers Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, SD-WAN, BGP, peering, and datacentre initiatives across 200+ sites. Hybrid working (approx. 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH) with £60k-£65k base and on-call allowances.

Qualifications

• Senior-level network engineering experience in MSP/ISP environments.
• Strong BGP knowledge with peering and production troubleshooting.
• Cisco routing and switching experience, Nexus/NX-OS skills.
• Fortinet/ FortiGate expertise plus firewalling, VPNs and HA.
• Experience with SD-WAN, Meraki, and datacentre networking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own network installation and migration projects from design to delivery.
• Contribute to internal datacentre and ISP projects, plus R&D.
• Handle complex escalations and multi-site deployments.
• Work on Fortinet, Cisco Meraki deployments and SD-WAN migrations.
• Support 24x7 on-call rota with associated allowances.
