Job summary

James Adams is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their Birmingham-based infrastructure team. This hybrid role combines hands-on operational support with delivery of network projects across a modern enterprise environment.

You will manage and optimize enterprise network systems, configure Fortinet and Cisco devices, and contribute to cloud networking initiatives while producing clear technical documentation and improving automation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fortinet and Cisco enterprise networking.
• Ability to design and optimize enterprise network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Provide 3rd line support and act as escalation point for networking issues.
• Deliver network refresh, upgrade and migration projects.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Fortinet and Cisco devices.
• Monitor network performance, capacity and security.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve resilience, performance and automation.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams on strategic initiatives.
