Job summary

La Fosse Associates in Southampton, United Kingdom, is seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise network environment across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid estates. The role combines BAU operations with project delivery, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

You will design and implement solutions for routing, switching, and security, while maintaining network documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

Experience in enterprise network environments.
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, Nexus platforms.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs and network security.

Responsibilities

Monitor, manage, and optimise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Support and troubleshoot complex network issues, acting as an escalation point for major incidents.
Design and implement network solutions across routing, switching, security, and connectivity.
Maintain high availability and resilience across the network estate.
Contribute to RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support network change activity in line with governance and security policies.
Monitor data centre and network environments including LAN, WAN, and wireless.
Collaborate with wider infrastructure and IT teams to support projects and BAU delivery.
Contribute to network documentation and operational best practices.
