Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and validate high‑performance networks for GPU clusters across Europe. You will bring up front‑end, storage, and management networks, validate fabrics, and participate in customer handover with a focus on reliability and performance.

This hands‑on role requires extensive experience in data centre networking, routing and switching (BGP/OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN), and network automation (Python/Ansible).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network engineering in large-scale data centre, cloud, or HPC environments.
• Strong routing and switching knowledge: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, L2/L3 data centre design.
• Experience deploying and operating cluster networks, including InfiniBand or RoCE fabrics.
• Practical experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and validate high-performance Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics for large GPU clusters.
• Bring up front-end, storage, and management networks and WAN edge connectivity for new sites and expansions.
• Run network acceptance testing and performance validation ahead of customer handover.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, optics, and cabling during build and early life.
• Collaborate with Network Architecture to refine reference designs and build standards.
• Develop and improve automation for provisioning, configuration, and validation.
• Coordinate with PMs, Data Centre Ops, and vendors to keep builds on schedule.
• Write runbooks and documentation for repeatable builds across sites.
