Job summary

Referment is partnering with a leading technology-driven investment firm to hire a Network Engineer to join its global Infrastructure team. The role is based in Central London and involves designing, building, and supporting the network infrastructure that underpins a fast-paced, performance-critical trading environment.

You will work in a lean, collaborative team, tackling complex technical challenges and owning critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Network/Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching knowledge.
• Scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support the enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and core connectivity.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve complex network/infrastructure issues.
• Support and improve network performance, resilience and availability across global environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams on deployments and upgrades.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure tooling.
• Support Windows and Linux server environments as part of the wider team.
• Contribute to evolution of infrastructure architecture and best practices.
