Job summary

IG Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the evolution of our high‑speed, highly available network infrastructure in our London headquarters. You will drive data center enhancements, design and operate containerised and public cloud platforms, and partner with software teams to deliver scalable services.

You will mentor peers and maintain comprehensive network documentation and standards. You will apply advanced routing, switching, and DNS expertise in a fast-paced fintech

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a Senior Network Engineering role, managing medium to large-scale networks.
• Advanced routing and switching knowledge with hands-on leadership.
• Deep TCP/IP understanding across diverse hardware and software.
• Experience with BGP, VXLAN, and vPCs in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for data center network enhancements and standardisation.
• Design, implement, and operate containerisation and public cloud platforms.
• Collaborate to design, implement, and manage IG's network to meet availability and performance demands.
• Use automation and DevOps practices to improve network reliability, security and resiliency.
• Partner with development to deliver enhanced services and features for customers.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Maintain up-to-date network documentation and diagrams.
