Enterprise Technology at The Walt Disney Company is responsible for delivering the technology strategy, engineering, architecture, IT operations, and technical support that underpin the success of our global business. The Business Network Design Services (BNDS) team sits within this division and focuses on designing and implementing resilient and scalable network infrastructure across Disney’s various business units.

From supporting broadcast and media production to enabling global content distribution, BNDS engineers play a vital role in ensuring Disney’s network connectivity is robust, secure, and future-ready. The team works closely with architecture, operations, security, wireless, and cloud technology partners to deliver integrated, best-in-class solutions.

We are now seeking an experienced EMEA Senior Network Engineer to join our team — someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and project management skills to drive the delivery of complex, large-scale network initiatives across the EMEA region.

A few reasons why we think you’ll love working here:

Impact: Play a key role in designing and delivering high-performance, business-critical networks that support Disney’s world-renowned content and operations.

Variety: Engage with a wide range of technologies, environments, and industries — from studios and sports to corporate IT and cloud-native platforms.

Collaboration: Work alongside global teams and stakeholders across disciplines, operating at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and innovation.

What You Will Do

In this multifaceted role, you will lead the design, documentation, and delivery of network infrastructure projects in support of Disney’s diverse business needs. You will act as a trusted consultant to internal stakeholders, managing everything from technical planning to project execution and operational support.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Consultation: Engage with business unit stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate these into effective network solutions.

Solution Design: Develop detailed technical designs in alignment with Disney’s global architecture standards — including network diagrams, documentation, and scope of works for third-party implementers.

Implementation Management: Oversee the timely and cost-effective delivery of network solutions, including risk management, escalation processes, and coordination with internal and external partners.

Technology Evaluation: Support the evaluation of emerging technologies by providing practical, business-aligned perspectives that inform adoption and implementation strategies.

Operational Support: Configure devices in line with design specifications, carry out break-fix activities, and act as an escalation point for troubleshooting network issues across the EMEA region.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Significant experience in a large-scale enterprise environment (30+ sites across multiple countries, ideally supporting 50,000+ users).

Proven ability to design large-scale, global data networks with a focus on security, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

Practical expertise in building and supporting enterprise LANs, MANs, WANs, VPNs, and remote access networks.

Strong understanding of networking topologies and protocols, including MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VRF, and QoS.

Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language to automate and orchestrate network tasks.

Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP address management (IPAM), multicast, and data centre architecture.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex designs clearly and concisely.

Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects, with a proven ability to deliver on time and to budget.

Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and visible environment.

Education & Certifications

A university degree in a STEM field is preferred, although not essential.

A minimum of two current professional certifications in relevant networking technologies (e.g., switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing), or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Preferred Experience

Background in the media, entertainment, video distribution, or broadcast industries.

Experience with data centre and cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, or hybrid models).

Familiarity with a range of vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).

Proficiency in using network diagnostics and monitoring tools such as OPNET, SevOne, or Cisco Works.

Knowledge of wireless networks, VoIP systems, and video conferencing platforms.

Additional Information

This role will occasionally require travel to EMEA-based office and data centre locations.

Some out-of-hours support may be necessary to troubleshoot incidents or oversee time-sensitive implementations.
