Senior Network Engineer / Technical Lead (Cisco MPLS) Leyland

Do you have strong Cisco Networking skills combined with mentoring and project leadership skills? You could be progressing your career in a senior / lead Network Engineer role at a global travel brand.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will take a lead role within a small team, taking ownership, managing projects, and providing technical leadership to three other Network Engineers, with responsibilities including hands-on BAU, project work, and strategy.

You will lead the Network Team during disaster recovery and business continuity operations, define operational procedures, and support network delivery across service improvement, technical debt remediation, modernization roadmaps, and initiatives. You will identify emerging technologies and services, seek continual improvement, and collaborate with the Architecture team to develop the network roadmap.

Location / WFH:

Join colleagues in the Leyland office with free onsite gym and restaurant, with flexibility to work from home two days a week.

About you:

• Experience in a senior Network Engineering position
• Expertise in network administration on Cisco routing, switching, and Cisco ASA firewalls
• Experience in network performance tuning and capacity management on critical customer-facing systems
• Good knowledge of MPLS, Software Defined Networks, WANs (SDWAN, Zero Trust Network, SASE), Border Gateway Protocol, Checkpoint firewalls
• Excellent communication skills including mentoring, coaching, stakeholder management
• Certifications preferred: Cisco CCIE, Cisco CCNP
