Job description

Senior Network Engineer - AWS - Low Latency Networking - Digital Assets

Excellent opportunity opens for a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of complex network infrastructure across cloud and physical environments. This role demands deep technical expertise in cloud networking, network security, low latency networks, automation, and resiliency. You will collaborate across Infrastructure, DevOps, CloudOps, Security, and Service Delivery teams to implement and manage robust, secure, and scalable network solutions. The network infrastructure includes AWS and Azure virtual networks, and physical networking (appliances).

Key Responsibilities;
  • Lead the review, design, implementation and operation for complex networks both on-premise and in cloud-based environments;
  • Evaluate solutions, create design documents, standard procedures, perform configuration to deploy and fine tune systems;
  • Research performance trends and recommend process improvements;
  • Perform complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations, and configurations;
  • Assess changes for risk to production systems and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas;
  • Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to assure Service Level Agreements can be supported;
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals;
  • Be responsible for the roadmap and engineering design standards for parts of the end user network - these technologies include LAN, wide area, SASE, wireless, remote access, VPN, collocated datacenter facilities, ZTNA/segmentation, Azure/AWS cloud network functions, as well as DNS and IPAM both on-premise and in the cloud;
  • Provide automation standards and build an automation framework for networking that includes device provisioning, compliance verification, and change management through an infrastructure-as-code structure;
  • identify opportunities for automation and implement using AI and low-code tooling
  • Plan and conduct major technical phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and the performance of assigned projects;
  • Provide cutting-edge, client-focused technology-based solutions, enhancing client success through world-class software and leading-edge infrastructure.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
  • Significant Network Engineering experience
  • Proficient in AWS Cloud Networking
  • Low Latency Networking
  • LAN/WAN/WiFi experience in an enterprise network;
  • Solid understanding and experience with Network tools including NetFlow, packet capture, load balancing, capacity planning, routing/switching, RSPAN, Secure DNS, network monitoring (AI/Ops) and resiliency;
  • Coverage of Network Security (Perimeter Networks/FWs, Proxies, Remote Access, SASE/VPN, DDoS, etc)
  • Strong Scripting and automation skills (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to manage complex projects in an enterprise environment;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important;
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills & analytical thinking capabilities;
  • Web3/Crypto knowledge is a plus but is not required;
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional level (CCNP) and higher, or equivalent certification is a plus.
