Your mission

As a member of the Network Engineering team at Rivada, you will serve as a Network Architect for the planning and design of our global network. This role involves working on a pioneering network architecture that combines space-based, meshed laser networks with high-performance radio links to ground terminals. You will work with the latest protocols (e.g., SRv6) to ensure the system meets current operational constraints and is prepared for future enhancements. Your responsibilities include designing system-level network architectures, conducting simulations and prototyping, documenting requirements, collaborating with engineering teams, supporting technology selection, steering development, verifying systems, supporting deployment, and assisting in network operations including troubleshooting and performance analysis.

What you bring to the table

• A degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or computer science
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a telecom environment, with at least 2 years working with MPLS networks
• Networking expertise including L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, VPNv4/6, Segment Routing TE, and routing protocols such as IS-IS and BGP
• Experience with network simulation tools (e.g., containerlab) and packet analysis tools
• Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MEF-CECP are desirable
• Fluency in English

Additional desirable skills include experience with carrier service providers, satcom operators or suppliers, knowledge of network termination equipment, designing management networks, network operations, and process/workflow definition.
