Senior Network Engineer / Aruba - Clearpass - Airwave / 130-145k + Bonus / Hybrid Client Sites

This role requires you to have professional- level experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining complex Aruba wireless and switching environments. We are looking for someone that is a highly skilled professional capable of architecting advanced solutions, driving innovation, and providing strategic technical leadership for our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expert-level certifications and possess a deep understanding of Aruba technologies, wireless networking, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Network Architecture & Deployment:
  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade Aruba wireless and switching solutions.
  • Lead the architecture of complex network environments, including multi-site configurations, advanced VLAN setups, and network segmentation.
  • Develop scalable, resilient network solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices.
• Strategic Network Management & Optimization:
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-level issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
  • Leverage Aruba AirWave, ClearPass, and Central to monitor network performance, usage trends, and potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvements in network reliability, performance, and security through data-driven insights and industry knowledge.
• Security & Compliance Leadership:
  • Design and enforce robust security policies using Aruba ClearPass, NAC, and advanced authentication methods.
  • Implement comprehensive network security strategies, including endpoint policy enforcement, access control, and threat mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security standards and external regulatory requirements, implementing proactive measures to secure the network infrastructure.
• Documentation, Training, & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on network configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident resolution.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on Aruba technologies and best practices to other teams as needed.
• Technical Leadership & Support:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Aruba wireless and switching technologies, supporting complex projects and critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to set network strategy, contributing technical insights and recommendations for network improvements.
  • Provide expert-level support during after-hours on-call rotations for high-severity network issues.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Aruba wireless and switching technologies, including multi-site environments.
• Professional-level Aruba certifications such as Aruba Campus Access(ACP), Aruba certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
• Extensive knowledge of Aruba hardware (ArubaOS, Aruba Central, ClearPass, AirWave) and advanced configuration in large-scale enterprise settings.
• Strong expertise in VLANs, VXLAN, Spanning Tree, BGP, OSPF, and other advanced networking protocols.
• Proficiency in network security, including experience with network access control, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
