Senior Network Engineer, Multicast, BGP, MPLS, - 6 Months plus

A leading financial services firm is seeking a solid and proven Senior Network Engineer with strong BGP and Multicast skills.

You will be part of a small, agile, and multi-skilled team ensuring the London and Trading networks operate in a stable manner. You will use your expertise to optimize functionality, performance, and security, making improvements as needed.

Skills and Experience

• CCIE qualification preferred (candidates without CCIE but with equivalent expertise will be considered)
• Experience with Ansible and network automation
• Experience working in highly available, sensitive network environments with multiple network (switching & routing) and security (firewall, Web Gateway & LTM) technologies
• Experience capturing requirements from the business and collaborating with technical teams to identify solutions that balance business needs, security, availability, and resiliency
• Experience with market brokers & direct market connectivity
• Implementing designs into production under Change Control
• Solid knowledge of Arista architectures and OS with hands-on design and configuration experience
• Knowledge of core routing protocols, OSPF and BGP, and IP transmission modes, Unicast and Multicast
• Low-level log & packet analysis experience
• Ability to multitask effectively

Implement network-as-code for new infrastructure deployment and upskill team members on automation.

Build professional relationships and work with global support to ensure efficient communication between corporate and trading networks.

Produce and review HLD and LLD documentation for accuracy.
