Job summary

Networking People Limited in London is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (L3) to join a major network infrastructure programme supporting IoT deployments in a Financial Services environment. This hands-on role focuses on routing, switching, multicast, OSPF, VLANs, and ACLs, with a strong emphasis on change control and CAB approvals, and requires availability for Saturday windows.

The contract is 12 months, hybrid with three days on site, start ASAP after checks.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of senior/L3 network engineering experience.
• CCNP required; CCIE highly desirable.
• Experience with CAB/change control in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, VLANs, routing & ACLs.
• Experience supporting IoT connectivity from a network perspective.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level network engineering support for routing, switching and connectivity issues.
• Join a major network infrastructure programme supporting IoT deployments in Financial Services.
• Configure and troubleshoot multicast, OSPF, VLANs, routing and ACLs.
• Support network troubleshooting with packet capture and root cause analysis.
• Work within CAB and change control processes, including Saturday change windows.

Salary: £124,800 - 128,960 per year

Requirements

• 8-10 years Network Engineering experience at Senior/L3 level
• Strong Cisco and Arista routing and switching experience
• Excellent knowledge of OSPF, VLANs, routing, and ACLs
• Experience supporting IoT connectivity from a network infrastructure perspective
• Strong multicast configuration and troubleshooting experience
• Advanced network troubleshooting experience, including packet capture and root cause analysis
• Recent experience working within Financial Services
• Strong understanding of CAB/change control processes
• CCNP required; CCIE highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Availability to support Saturday network change windows
