Leonardo Cyber Division is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to act as an arbitrator on design issues relating to networks, gateways, and security enforcement functions applied to these system and service components.

What you’ll do as a Senior Network Engineer:

Within the Cyber Division, you will work as part of a team involved in designing, developing, and testing secure systems such as Information Management Systems, Command and Control systems, and Security Monitoring of IT, IoT, and CNI systems and services.

Key Responsibility Areas:

The Senior Network Engineer will be a member of a specialized engineering practice within the Platform team, executing work within IPTs for ongoing systems engineering efforts across multiple projects and managed services. The role involves working on various system lifecycle phases, including architectural design, detailed system/subsystem design, implementation, testing, and complex problem resolution.

You will engage directly in projects, work within secure facilities and network operations rooms, and produce deliverables for contracted projects and services, including:

• Developing network solution designs to meet complex customer requirements
• Contributing to architectural documentation for system designs
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers and architects
• Participating in technical review events during the system development lifecycle
• Engaging with clients, peers, third-party partners, and vendors

You will also need to stay updated with industry developments, including:

• Evolving networking technologies for solution support
• Qualifications and certifications for network technologies
• Industry standards, policies, and methodologies

Additional requirements include:

• UK National with current DV clearance
• Experience in network deployment for LAN/WAN and Data Centers
• Understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models
• Networking cabling expertise (Fibre, Copper Ethernet)
• Knowledge of network security, including firewalls
• Understanding of protocols like IPsec, BGP, OSPF, QoS, MPLS, VoIP
• Network design experience (HLD/LLD)
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Understanding of cloud technologies and networking services, including Cisco CCNP level expertise
