Addition Farnborough is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to transform traditional network operations into an automated environment. You will drive automation across LAN/WAN and data centres, build scalable solutions with Python, Ansible and Terraform, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient networking infrastructure.

The role emphasises modern engineering practices, on-call support, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the move from manual network management to automated infrastructure.
• Design, build and implement automation across enterprise LAN, WAN and datacentre environments.
• Develop and maintain automation using Python, Ansible and Terraform.
• Improve operational efficiency through automated provisioning, configuration management and monitoring.
• Manage and optimise centralised network management platforms, including Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient network solutions.
• Mentor colleagues and promote modern engineering practices.
• Support a highly available environment through on-call rotation and support.
