Job summary

CHAOS Industries is a defence technology company building and operating the secure network backbone for a UK defence programme. You will own design, security and uptime from architecture to day-to-day operations.

In this role you will deploy, monitor and harden networks across classified and unclassified environments, using Palo Alto and Aruba technologies, while enforcing zero-trust and compliance regimes (RMF/STIG). UK SC clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in network administration in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Hands-on Palo Alto experience (NGFW, Panorama, VPNs, threat prevention).
• Hands-on Aruba experience (switching, wireless, ClearPass NAC).
• Strong TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VPNs.
• Experience in classified environments (SIPR/NIPR or equivalent).
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53 and STIGs.
• Active UK SC clearance (DV preferred), or eligibility to obtain SC.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure networks across classified and unclassified environments.
• Run Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama, GlobalProtect) and Aruba switching, wireless and ClearPass.
• Implement segmentation, zero-trust and policy enforcement.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues and support incident response.
• Handle vulnerability remediation, RMF/STIG compliance and system accreditation (ATO).
