Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a visionary Network Service Delivery Engineer to shape the blueprint for NESO's global network across on-prem, cloud and data centres. You will translate business goals into scalable, automated, and secure designs, driving Network DevOps and IaC at an architectural level.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with cloud, infrastructure and application partners, and act as a technical authority on network architecture and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in network principal/lead roles.
• Ability to design holistic, scalable network fabrics balancing performance, security and cost.
• Expert knowledge of BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS and cloud networking in AWS/Azure.
• Proficiency with Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Strong ITIL/AGILE practices and excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Own NESO's end-to-end network security architecture across on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Define and enforce secure segmentation, zero-trust, and scalable WAN/LAN designs.
• Develop 12–24 month technology roadmaps for network security and automation.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership to management.
• Drive Network DevOps and IaC integrations into CI/CD pipelines.
