Job summary

MRP Group, in partnership with a leading global IT consultancy, seeks a Senior Network Architect for a 6-12 month contract in Liverpool. You will design secure edge connectivity for factory IT/OT environments, covering LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and firewall considerations.

The role requires creating reusable site blueprints, setting resilience criteria, and ensuring alignment with zero-trust and IT/OT security requirements across deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewall and segmentation knowledge.
• Experience designing secure connectivity for virtualised, containerised and edge platforms.
• Ability to produce reusable network standards, HLD/LLD guidance and site-readiness criteria.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across architecture, security, operations and site teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

MRP Group has partnered with a leading global IT consultancy that are working with a client rolling out an Edge Hosting service across their factories globally, and they need a senior network architect to design how it connects securely into factory IT and OT environments.

6-12 months Contract, with potential extension.

Liverpool, hybrid - 2 days onsite.

The role:

• Own edge connectivity design across factory LAN/WAN, routing, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/NTP, management networks and secure remote access
• Create standard site integration blueprints and manage architecture exceptions
• Set resilience requirements for network paths, switching and uplinks
• Align the design with zero-trust principles and IT/OT security requirements
• Build network readiness and assurance checklists for factory deployment and migration

What they're looking for:
