Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior NetBackup Solution Architect (SC Cleared) in London to lead enterprise data protection and cyber resilience engagements. You will work client-facing, directing discovery, design, implementation and knowledge transfer across complex environments.

You will shape backup and recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements while acting as the technical authority throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is required.
• 8+ years hands-on Veritas NetBackup experience.
• Experience with NetBackup administration, upgrades, migrations and appliances.
• Designing highly available backup platforms for enterprise environments.
• Strong DR, business continuity, cyber recovery and ransomware knowledge.
• Experience working with enterprise customers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture workshops and design engagements with enterprise customers.
• Design and deliver enterprise-scale backup, recovery and cyber resilience solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable architectures.
• Provide expert NetBackup guidance across upgrades, migrations, and modernisation projects.
• Drive design and implementation activities with engineering and delivery teams.
• Produce High-Level and Low-Level designs and technical documentation.
• Deliver executive-level presentations and briefings to senior stakeholders.

Senior NetBackup Solution Architect (SC Cleared)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior NetBackup Solution Architect to join a specialist Professional Services team delivering complex enterprise data protection and cyber resilience solutions across highly regulated customer environments.

This is a customer-facing architecture and consulting role, where you will lead technical engagements from discovery and design through to implementation and knowledge transfer. You will work directly with enterprise customers, acting as a trusted advisor to define backup, recovery, and cyber resilience strategies that align with business and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and design engagements with enterprise customers.
• Design and deliver enterprise-scale backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and supportable technical architectures.
• Provide expertise across NetBackup environments, including upgrades, migrations, and modernisation projects.
• Drive solution design and implementation activities alongside internal engineering and project delivery teams.
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and technical documentation.
• Deliver executive-level presentations and technical briefings to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with security, governance, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Act as the technical authority throughout the project lifecycle.
