Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise backup, recovery, replication, and data protection environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Cohesity, Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas or comparable platforms.
• Experience optimizing backup/recovery for large-scale enterprise workloads.
• Knowledge of cyber resilience, immutable backups, ransomware recovery, and business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience technologies.
• Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of backup and storage platforms across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, engineering best practices, and governance for data protection services.
• Drive disaster recovery planning, cyber recovery testing, and ransomware resilience programs.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Cloud, and Operations teams to modernize infrastructure and automate services.
• Provide technical guidance during incidents and complex troubleshooting.
• Oversee platform optimization for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Champion IaC, automation, and continuous improvement across infrastructure services.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Storage & Backup Engineer to provide technical leadership across enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions. In this role, you will drive the strategy, design, and modernization of infrastructure services while partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience, security, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience technologies.
• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of backup and storage platforms across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, engineering best practices, and governance frameworks for data protection services.
• Drive recovery assurance initiatives, disaster recovery planning, cyber recovery testing, and ransomware resilience programs.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Cloud, and Operations teams to deliver infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance during major incidents, complex troubleshooting activities, and critical change implementations.
• Oversee platform optimization efforts to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and continuous improvement practices across infrastructure services.
• Work closely with technology vendors and service providers to ensure platform stability, compliance, and service quality.
• Reduce operational complexity and technical debt through strategic engineering improvements and platform consolidation.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise backup, recovery, replication, and data protection environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with enterprise backup solutions such as Cohesity, Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas, or comparable platforms.
• Experience administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing backup and recovery solutions across large‑scale enterprise workloads.
• Strong knowledge of cyber resilience, immutable backups, ransomware recovery, and business continuity practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including backup, recovery, and storage services.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, replication, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated expertise in automation, scripting, technical solution design, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
