Job summary

Acteon seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of .NET/WPF applications, with ASP.NET Core front/backend and modern UI frameworks. The role involves Dockerized deployments, REST APIs, MQTT/Modbus/OPC-UA data interfaces, and Azure DevOps workflow.

You will work within the UTEC Geo-services line in Wokingham, delivering robust software across Windows environments. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of Windows/Visual Studio experience, strong C# skills, and a collaborative, Agile

Qualifications

3–5+ years of Windows software development in Visual Studio.
Proficient in C# app development in .NET with WPF.
Experience with ASP.NET Core Razor/Blazor frontend/backend.
Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and REST APIs.
Data interfaces: MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA advantageous.

Responsibilities

Form core part of the Tech Agile Development Team, delivering software through sprints.
Collaborate with Senior Software Manager, Commercial IT engineers and Data scientists.
Plan and deliver software scopes on time, identify bottlenecks and provide remediation.
Develop/test software with the team, maintain change logs and Azure work items.
Mentor other developers and contribute to software design and testing strategy.
Support deployment and automation strategies, including unit testing.
