Job summary

ShortList Recruitment Limited in Chester, UK, is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a growing technology company. The role focuses on backend systems, cloud-native apps and AI-assisted engineering within a regulated environment.

You will design and build backend services using C#/.NET Core, work across the stack with frontend and cloud teams, and own technical delivery in a fast-paced setting. Hybrid work with 2 onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Experience deploying on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of backend APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in regulated or highly auditable environments.
• Experience in Agile software delivery environments.
• Experience mentoring or supporting other developers.
• Kotlin, Android or mobile development experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities
