Job summary

IFX Payments in London is seeking a senior .NET engineer to own end-to-end banking platform services in the Banking and FX tribe. You will design, build and run asynchronous services on Azure, ensuring correctness under partial failures and duplicate messages as part of a cross-functional fintech platform.

You will lead architectural decisions, own the run and security, and contribute to a culture of reliability. The role is hybrid with 2–3 days in our London office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production services in .NET and Azure.
• Experience with asynchronous, event-driven systems.
• Strong SQL Server expertise and familiarity with code-first ORMs (EF Core).
• Security, availability, reliability and observability built in from the start.
• Experience using AI tooling in software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate .NET 10 services on Azure from initial commit to production support.
• Create asynchronous flows that tolerate partial failures, timeouts, retries and duplicates.
• Collaborate across payments, FX, ledger, reconciliation, and client portal components.
• Ensure security, observability and reliability are foundational from day one.
