Senior .Net Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + benefits

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (one day per week onsite)

We are recruiting a Senior .Net Engineer for a global leading fintech company based in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Software Engineers to join a talented development team working on diverse projects within a distributed Scrum environment across the UK and Europe. The focus will be on building Azure-based applications for our client's global platform.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing Web API applications in .NET Framework or .NET Core, working with medium-sized teams, and utilizing Azure services such as web apps, SQL PaaS databases, blob storage, and service bus. The company is undertaking an exciting transformation to deliver cloud-based solutions with advanced design and architecture.

Experience & Skills Required

• Extensive experience with the Microsoft development stack, including .NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework, dependency injection, and Azure.
• Proven experience with Microservices, Event-Driven architecture, and Restful APIs.
• Experience using Git within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of Azure VSTS, continuous integration, and automated deployment is advantageous.
• Ability to design performant SQL databases and queries using Entity Framework.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles, with the ability to contribute to architecture and user story development.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum methodology and JIRA for SDLC management.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both local and remote colleagues, motivating and energizing teams.
• Drive and enthusiasm to build and deploy high-quality, innovative software.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as an active Scrum team member, contributing to process improvements and ensuring delivery commitments.
• Desirable: Professional experience with Docker.
• Active participation in the development community, including blogging, research, open-source contributions, and mentoring junior team members.
