Job summary

Primary Eyecare Services is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our Digital team in Manchester. You will own the delivery of greenfield healthcare applications, building secure, scalable systems that support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.

The role combines hands-on coding with architectural influence in an Agile environment. You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with clinical leads, and design integrations with NHS FHIR and other APIs while ensuring

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Significant experience building cloud-hosted .Net services at scale.
Experience with healthcare data formats (FHIR, HL7) is desirable.
Experience with Azure services and API gateways is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development and maintenance of a C# .NET-based healthcare application.
Collaborate with clinical leads to translate user needs into robust software.
Write clean, scalable code following GDPR and NHS data protection standards.
Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
Design and support integrations with NHS FHIR and third-party APIs.
Ensure code quality through reviews, tests, and CI pipelines in Azure.
