Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join the London Hammersmith team and help modernise our ecommerce platform and marketing microsites. You will work on ASP.NET MVC5, migrate legacy code, and drive a cloud‑hosted architecture while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years digi­tal experience, strong C#/.NET skills, and a track record with ecommerce systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years digital experience with strong digital portfolio.
• Experience with bespoke ecommerce web applications.
• Experience in a development role, either client- or agency-side.
• Degree or equivalent in STEM or Computer Science discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support back-end website development, delivering complex solutions across full development life cycle.
• Maintain and update the bespoke ecommerce platform.
• Migrate legacy features to ASP.NET MVC 5 platform.
• Write maintainable, scalable, fault-tolerant code following SOLID principles and TDD.
• Proactively manage tools, hardware and environments to support development requirements.
• Collaborate to identify workflows and services for managing code, version control to deployment strategies.
• Log and troubleshoot errors using appropriate tools.
• Proactively research and adopt new technologies to stay at the forefront of computing.
