Job summary

The Walt Disney Company Limited is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to help modernise our e-commerce platform and marketing microsites, based in London with hybrid working four days on site and one remote day.

You will work with the Disney Destinations International team to migrate legacy ASP.NET MVC 5 code, implement modern cloud-hosted architectures, and deliver robust, scalable backend solutions using C#, RESTful services, and ORM frameworks.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years digital experience with strong portfolio.
Experience with bespoke ecommerce web applications desirable.
Experience in a development role, client- or agency-side.
Degree or equivalent in STEM or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Support back-end website development and deliver complex solutions across full development life cycle.
Maintain and update the bespoke Classic ASP ecommerce platform with the team.
Develop new features for ASP.NET MVC 5 platform and migrate legacy features to the new platform.
Write maintainable, scalable, fault-tolerant code using SOLID principles and OO design.
Proactively manage tools, hardware and environments to support development needs.
Collaborate to identify workflows and services for code management and deployment strategies.
Log and troubleshoot errors using appropriate tools.
Research and adopt techniques to stay at technology frontiers and enhance business offerings.
