Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to partner with multiple customers, delivering end-to-end software solutions across cloud services and modern architectures. You will drive development, testing, and production deployment, leveraging CI/CD, Azure, and a suite of Microsoft technologies.

You’ll mentor peers, contribute to governance, and help shape best practices while working across varied client projects within a dynamic, award-winning employer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in .Net development.
• Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core/.NET Framework.
• Experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control and Azure Repos/DevOps.
• Unit testing and TDD experience (e.g. xUnit, NUnit).
• Experience with modern architecture patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven, Clean Architecture).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and Entity Framework Core to meet client needs.
• Design, build, and support distributed APIs and multi-tier integrations across client systems.
• Modernise and re-platform legacy applications with modern patterns (N-Tier, MVC, Microservices).
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and support production releases.
• Apply unit testing and TDD practices to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Work with Azure cloud services as part of application delivery.

Job Description

About the Role:

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will work closely with several customers to maintain, develop, and innovate on business-critical applications — including full end-to-end delivery through requirements, development, testing, and production deployment. Working in the Version 1 DDC Group, you will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of technologies including cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and modern architecture patterns, further develop your skills, and progress your career within a growing business.

• Develop and maintain software to meet client needs using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and Entity Framework Core
• Design, build, and support distributed APIs and multi-tier integrations across client systems
• Modernise and re-platform legacy applications, applying patterns such as N-Tier, MVC, Event-Driven, or Microservices architecture where appropriate
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and support release/deployment processes, including working within formal change management (e.g. ITIL) for production releases
• Apply unit testing and TDD practices (e.g. xUnit, NUnit, Moq) to ensure reliability and maintainability
• Work with Microsoft Azure cloud services (e.g. App Service, Functions, Service Bus) as part of application delivery
• Follow best practice guidelines and help improve those guidelines, creating best-in-class documentation with client users in mind
• Provide technical mentorship and peer code review to support quality and consistency across the delivery team
• Support responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) in line with governance best practices

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in .Net Development.
• Current .NET / C# and ASP.NET development experience, including .NET Core
• Experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
• Experience and awareness of the wider Microsoft technology stack
• Exposure to or strong interest in Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control
• Familiarity working with Azure Repos and Devops.
• Unit testing and TDD experience (e.g. xUnit, NUnit)
• Experience working within formal change/incident management processes (e.g. ITIL)
• Exposure to modern architecture patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven, Clean Architecture)
• Interest in AI-assisted development tooling and governance
