Job summary

TransPerfect, a global technology team, is seeking a Software Engineer to own the quality, development, and execution of software products across web and mobile platforms. You will join a multidisciplinary, globally distributed team including London, Barcelona, New York, and more, contributing to scalable and secure backend solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers, QA, designers, and other developers to deliver robust APIs and services, while mentoring junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, building scalable systems.
• Extensive knowledge of DotNet C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework and related technologies.
• GIT version control proficiency.
• Service-oriented architecture with REST/API design experience.
• Knowledge of SOLID and clean code practices.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Database development in SQL Server or NoSQL databases.
• Some familiarity with Docker; cloud experience (Azure/AWS) a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development, focusing on coding and debugging while following security standards.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code and APIs for web and mobile apps.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Work with Front-end developers to integrate UI with server-side logic.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate issues.
• Optimize web apps for performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement security best practices to protect data and prevent threats.
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with automation engineers for regression testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve backend infrastructure.
