Butler Ross in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead a major, multi-billion-pound infrastructure programme. You will own procurement activity across large-capital projects, driving strategy, supplier selection and strategic negotiations.

In this high-impact role, you will shape procurement governance, manage complex portfolios, and mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in infrastructure or capital project procurement environments.
• Proven experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience delivering procurements under regulated frameworks (PCR2015/UCR2016/PA23).
• Experience developing and delivering procurement and category strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex procurement activities simultaneously.
• Solid governance, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activity across major infrastructure or capital projects.
• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned to programme objectives.
• Manage supplier selection processes and lead commercial negotiations.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and audit-ready documentation.
• Use market intelligence and data insights to identify risks, opportunities, value improvements.
• Support post-award contract management with commercial teams.
• Mentor junior team members and promote procurement best practice.
