Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee complex contracts and work packages, including six-figure to multi-hundred million value projects. The role requires onsite or client-site presence three days a week to support teams and maintain stakeholder engagement.

Key duties include negotiating terms, substantiating prices, and managing costs, forecasts, and change processes. A background in energy contracts with NEC/FIDIC experience will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant, demonstrable experience in contract management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Law, or an equivalent discipline.
• MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
• Strong experience in contract change management and claims management.
• Proven ability to draft and interpret commercial contracts, with knowledge of standard construction forms and bespoke agreements.
• Experience working with NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Solid understanding of financial analysis and reporting for project budgets.
• Knowledge of commercial governance processes for large capital projects, including contract, commercial, or cost-related delivery experience.
• Ability to build, maintain, and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and manage commercial aspects of high-value projects.
• Substantiate contract prices and ensure value for money.
• Demonstrate stakeholder engagement and effective leadership to resolve disputes.
• Manage cost and forecast reporting, including change management and expenditure.
• Provide post-contract commercial management supporting project goals.
• Promote safety policies and safe working practices.
• Support procurement and commercial team in delivering services.
