Senior National Account Manager Pharmacy Retail

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Customer Leadership and lead Bayer’s relationship with Boots, positioning the partnership as best-in-class within the UK market.
  • Set the strategic direction for the immediate and longer term; drive category growth through innovative solutions, activation plans, and data-led insights.
  • Joint Business Planning & Commercial Delivery: lead creation and ownership of the annual Joint Business Plan (JBP) ensuring alignment at senior levels.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, investments, and sell-ins with excellence; deliver sales, share, and profitability targets with full accountability for the Boots P&L.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: act as the hub for engagement with Boots across Marketing, Supply, Finance, Medical, and Digital; ensure seamless execution of customer plans and elevate ways of working across both organisations.
  • Represent the Boots account at senior Bayer leadership forums to ensure visibility, alignment, and advocacy.
  • Team Coaching & Development: coach and develop the National Account Executive, setting clear objectives and supporting professional growth; role model cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
  • Customer Communication & Influence: communicate with excellence, tailoring messaging to senior leaders within Bayer and at Boots; build trusted, long-term relationships with senior Boots stakeholders.
Position Requirements
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with proven track record in P&L ownership and customer negotiations.
  • Strong strategic thinker capable of creating and delivering long-term customer plans.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to influence at senior leadership level internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated success in driving category growth through innovation and collaboration.
  • Highly skilled at building cross-functional alignment and leading without direct authority; measures of success include delivery of Boots sales, share, and profitability targets, and delivery of a 3-year strategic partnership plan.
  • Successful leadership and delivery of the JBP, including commercial negotiations and activations; strong cross-functional collaboration and development of the National Account Executive.
