About The Role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we pride ourselves on our approach to customer partnerships across Avara Foods. We are looking for a highly competent and motivated Senior National Account Manager to join our commercial team.

The role offers hybrid working, primarily based at an Avara site, with opportunities for remote work and regular travel to our key customer down South.

Purpose Of The Role

The Senior National Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing sales activities with our largest customer, a UK-based retailer. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships, driving sales growth, and implementing effective sales strategies.

You will work closely with our Insights, Operations, Agriculture, Technical, and NPD teams to meet revenue targets and expand business with this key account.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, serve as the main contact, and manage the customer portal.
  2. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company and customer goals, manage product mix, identify growth opportunities, collaborate with internal teams, and monitor performance.
  3. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by meeting sales targets, negotiate pricing and promotional plans, analyze sales data for upselling opportunities, and support new product launches.
  4. Sales Reporting and Analysis: Prepare sales reports, track KPIs, lead meetings, support forecasting, and provide data-driven insights.
  5. Market Research and Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, gather market intelligence, and refine sales tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
What We Are Looking For

5+ years of experience in account management or national sales roles, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
