Your new Brokers are an Independent Lloyd’s Broker providing specialist solutions to their clients who access a wide range of markets on their behalf. They are a boutique Lloyd’s Broker, with a tradition of London market insurance broking stretching back over a hundred years. They are focused on all classes of business where the London Market provides significant global expertise and capacity. With over 12 offices around the world, they consider themselves a fast-growing business, currently employing over 1400 professionals worldwide, who are dedicated to providing their clients with the service they require. Due to expansion within the North American team, an opportunity for a Senior Binding Authority Technician has arisen for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Your new role
As a Senior Binding Authority Technician, your role is to oversee the delivery of efficient end-to-end operations support to Clients and Brokers/Account Executives. Responsibilities include producing MRC slips and endorsements, ensuring effective broker support activities, overseeing third-party service providers, and managing processes related to IBA, Premium Processing, Claims, and middle office tasks. You will assist in preparing key placement documentation, oversee processing functions, support processing technicians, maintain accurate records, support file audit processes, and work with Clients and Brokers on Cash & Credit Control issues.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have previous experience as a Binding Authority Technician handling North American and Binding Authority business, with knowledge of slip creation and renewal processes within the London Insurance Market. Understanding of end-to-end processes, premium reconciliation with IBA/Accounts, and a willingness to learn new tasks and lines of business are essential. Strong communication skills, proactivity, assertiveness, ability to work under pressure, process standardization, adaptability, and computer literacy are also required.
