Job summary

Mercor, a leader in connecting elite creative and technical talent with AI research labs, seeks a Senior Multiline Claims Examiner for a remote contract role. You will leverage 2+ years of P&C claims experience to analyze coverage, assess risk, and guide settlements.

This position requires rigorous analysis, precise documentation, and the ability to escalate when needed. Remote work offers 20–40 hours weekly with flexible scheduling and ongoing feedback to support model research.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional P&C claims handling, adjusting, or examining experience.
• Experience handling claims in property, auto physical damage, or liability.
• Understanding of the claim lifecycle from intake to closure.
• Ability to read policy language and know when to escalate.
• Strong written analysis and attention to detail.
• Ability to distinguish ordinary adjudication from complex coverage.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic claims scenarios across loss, coverage, investigation, and settlement.
• Create work products: claim action plans, coverage analyses, investigation requests, and summaries.
• Write reference responses at experienced claims‑professional quality.
• Grade AI responses for factual accuracy, policy application, and completeness.
• Identify premature conclusions, missing steps, and improper communications.
• Provide feedback to the research team to improve model behavior.
