Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior Estates Operations Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of healthcare estates services across our multi-site trust. The role ensures that buildings, engineering infrastructure, plant, equipment and services are safe, compliant, reliable and fit for purpose.

The postholder will provide strong operational leadership, ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met, manage budgets, and deliver

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and healthcare guidance
• Experience leading a multi-site estates team

Responsibilities

• Strategic and operational management of healthcare estates services across multiple sites.
• Ensure HTM compliance, inspections, testing, maintenance records and risk controls are followed.
• Lead and develop the Estates team with clear expectations and up-to-date competencies.
• Address planned and reactive maintenance, driving a shift from reactive to planned/predictive maintenance.
• Manage budgets, ensure value for money, and provide performance data and narrative to senior management.
