Job summary

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) to join the MSK pathway. You will be embedded in primary care practices with close links to a large secondary care MDT, including Orthopaedics, Radiology and Rheumatology.

The role involves mixed caseload management, advanced clinical reasoning, appropriate investigations, and contributing to the FCP roadmap with CPD support.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration (eligible/registered)
• MSc or MSK specialist post-graduate training
• Minimum 5 years clinical MSK experience
• NHS experience preferred
• Experience in staff management or leadership training
• May hold or be working towards prescribing qualification
• May hold or be working towards injection qualification
• FCP stage 1 and stage 2 registration ongoing or completed

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical decision making including referring for investigations and acting as First-contact physiotherapist
• Exercise professional judgement and take responsibility for decisions in unpredictable situations
• Use investigative skills to progress and request investigations for diagnosis and treatment
• Develop and deliver self-management programmes for patients within the MSK pathway
• Support organisational development via CPD and participation in FCP roadmap
