Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare is seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialist MSK Physiotherapist to manage an own caseload across CLCH Barnet clinics, delivering high-quality MSK assessment and treatment in line with NICE guidelines and trusted NHS practices.

You will develop clinical reasoning, work with multidisciplinary colleagues, and provide patient-centred care while committing to continuous professional development and supervision. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
• Evidence of continuous professional and personal development.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council, CSP membership.

The role will involve working across a number of CLCH clinics and sites within Barnet, providing high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions. PLEASE NOTE - Role will be based across various clinics & CLCH sites in Barnet, As a Band 6 Specialist MSK Physiotherapist, you will:

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload, taking professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients in your care.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with a range of acute, chronic and complex MSK presentations, using strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans using evidence-based practice and appropriate treatment techniques.
• Deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care, supporting an inclusive and equitable service for all patients.
• Recognise the limits of your practice and seek appropriate support through clinical supervision, senior colleagues and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Work in accordance with professional standards, national guidance and Trust policies.
• Communicate with compassion and sensitivity when supporting patients with complex physical, psychological or social needs.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and refer patients to appropriate services, including other physiotherapy specialties, Podiatry and Biomechanics.
• Participate in multidisciplinary assessments where required to support coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
• Evidence of continuous professional and personal development
• Registration with the Health Professions Council, Member of a specialist group
• CSP membership, Experience of working in an outpatient department
• Experience of working within NHS environment
• Experience of working with a wide range of patient conditions
• Research project carried out at undergraduate level, Effective physiotherapy manual skills to assess and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
• To work at or towards M level standard towards a full Masters qualification
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance and its influence on Service Development
• Knowledge of recent research supporting or negating physiotherapy management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions
• Effective physiotherapy manual skills to assess and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
• To work at or towards M level standard towards a full Masters qualification, Knowledge of NICE guidelines and the NSF's
• Presentation skills to lead and teach in-service training sessions
