The Role

As a Senior MRI Diagnostic Radiographer, you'll support the MRI service to achieve operational and clinical standards, maintaining GenesisCare's reputation for exceptional service. You'll assist the Lead Radiographer in clinical and non-clinical aspects of MRI, supporting all patients receiving MRI scans. What You'll Do

• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Follow all HCPC standards of conduct, performance, ethics, and proficiency.
• Create a collaborative environment for diagnostic and radiotherapy staff.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance.
• Maintain safe working practices and operate equipment effectively.
• Provide high-quality service to patients, meeting all scanning expectations.
• Keep accurate records of patient treatments.
• Meet clinical audit, radiation protection, and quality assurance standards.
• Record compliments and escalate incidents or complaints appropriately.
• Build effective relationships with patients, carers, clinicians, and colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement and development of services.
• Contribute to growth in MRI and cross-sectional imaging.
• Lead by example and actively participate in patient care.
• Maintain CPD in line with GenesisCare and HCPC standards.
• Be flexible in out-of-hours work to ensure continuous service delivery.

What You'll Have

• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience with progressive development.
• High competence in MRI scanning across various modalities (Neuro, Body, Prostate, MSK, lymphoma, Breast, etc.).
• Empathetic, holistic approach to patient care.
• Understanding of complaints and governance processes.
• Experience in evolving MRI techniques.
• Broad clinical skills and collaborative working experience.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions with support from the Lead Radiographer.
• Flexibility to work towards GenesisCare's objectives.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• DCR (R) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration.
• CPD evidence.
• Knowledge of legislation related to Ionising Radiation, Radiation Protection, and Health & Safety.
• Knowledge of current trends in radiography equipment and techniques.
• Understanding of UK health environment and medical terminology.
