• Degree in biological science subject.
• Higher degree or equivalent extensive laboratory experience in a similar role/environment.
• State registration with HCPC, either BMS or Clinical Scientist.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manual and automated molecular assay preparation (PCR, sequencing, genetic analyses).
• Manage day-to-day provision of services and supervise junior staff.
• Develop and maintain quality management systems and ISO15189 compliance.
• Contribute to training and competency assessment of staff.
• Assist in development of new cancer diagnostic services.
