Job summary

Ingenza is seeking a Senior Scientist I to join the Molecular Biology team at our Edinburgh Technopole facility. You will lead experimental design and execution in microbial strain work, collaborating across the lab while managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.

The role requires strong molecular biology skills, experience with cloning, vector design, and protein analysis, plus a collaborative mindset and meticulous data recording.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master in a relevant field with industrial exposure.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques and related machinery.
• Ability to plan, troubleshoot and present results clearly.
• Knowledge of recombinant protein analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Senior member of the Molecular Biology department.
• Collaborate in a lab and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Perform vector design, cloning and transformation experiments.
• Record and present methods and results with rigor.
