Job Description:

Location – Hybrid (Leicester, London or Bexhill)

We’re a digital insurance provider with ambitious plans to become The Best and Biggest in the UK market. We’ve made huge investments in our data and tech capabilities over the past few years, along with nurturing our 4Cs culture. We’re proud of the journey we’re on as a company and know that our continued success will rely on the contribution of our talented colleagues.

We provide insurance for over three million customers, but we know there’s even bigger opportunity out there. The fact you’re now reading this job advert means we’ve tempted you to find out more about #lifeatHD – we really hope you like what you see, and you’ll join us to share in the success of the exciting chapter that lies ahead.

We understand some people may not apply for jobs unless they feel they tick every box. If you are excited about joining us and think you have some of what we are looking for, even if you’re not 100% sure we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as the Senior TM1 developer, to understand, build, implement and document models and changes.
  2. Ensuring that user stories are clearly defined, sized and requirements are updated.
  3. Translate existing processes and users’ requests into well-structured and clearly documented specifications, through active involvement and investigation.
  4. Evaluate feasibility of solutions, review options and recommend alternative solutions and explain and suggest options to project constraints, identify risks and conduct impact analysis.
  5. Work closely with other developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  6. Ensure all models are properly trained and documented and that knowledge is shared.
Skills we would love you to have:
  1. Experience of contributing to the delivery of projects using structured project management approaches.
  2. Demonstrable evidence and experience of analysing and documenting business processes.
What we offer:

Join us and you’ll find a different way of doing things. We call it the 4Cs. We focus on getting it right for our colleagues, customers, company, and community. As one of our colleagues, you’ll be helping to drive our growth, so in return, we’ll give you all the support, training and development you need. Not to mention plenty of recognition and rewards, and the scope to voice your ideas and put them into practice.

Regrettably we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role

Reward:
  1. Salary: Attractive salary based on experience + car allowance (pay reviews also completed each year).
  2. Flexible Working: We champion a flexible and hybrid working approach so please speak to your recruiter to discuss in more detail, including days in the office and at home.
  3. Competitive Bonus Scheme: All colleagues are eligible for our annual 4Cs performance bonus, which is usually paid in March. The scheme is based on Hastings’ performance against our business goals and your own personal performance.
  4. Physical Wellbeing: Hastings pay for you to receive private medical Insurance (PMI) which gives you flexibility and convenience to see a specialist or consultant.
  5. Financial Wellbeing: Providing you with 4x your salary with our life assurance cover and income protection at no extra cost, pension contribution match up to 10%, and an AWARD WINNING package.
  6. Mental Wellbeing programme: We have a range of support to help you keep yourself well including a mental health app and 24/7 assistance programme.
  7. There's more! 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell one of your contracted weeks, access to health care cash back plans, dental plans, and discounted health assessments.

Hastings Group is an equal opportunities employer which means we treat people fairly. We welcome applications from all suitably skilled persons regardless of their gender, age, race, disability, ethnic background, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or marital/family status. Please also note that we have a thorough referencing process, which includes credit and criminal record checks.
